What it is

hush! started as Macau's beach concert weekend, and the Wellfest half has turned it into something broader: a festival you take part in, not just one you watch. Across the two days you can move between live sets on the sand, fitness sessions on a stage, sports challenges, workshops and a market, all in one stretch of coastline at the far end of Coloane. It is the young, loud counterpoint to the concert halls, and it lands a few days before the Grand Prix takes over the peninsula, which makes it a good first weekend of a longer November trip. Our November guide puts it in the month as a whole.

The seven zones

The 2026 layout has seven themed zones. Hot Wave is the main stage, on the beach itself. Music Chill is the lawn stage, pairing lighter music with mind and body sessions, including the Chakra Awaken Dance and Chakra Release Flow listed on MGM's event page. hush! Young Vibe is the youth and family end of the site. The Wellfest Stage hosts the movement programme, including Challenges and Games, Animal Flow and Inside Flow. The Fitness Challenge zone is where the competitive sessions sit, including the All-Round Fitness Challenge Zone. The Commons, Workshops Hub runs the workshop programme, and the hush! Market covers food and local stalls. Nothing here needs a ticket to wander between: you explore first, then commit to the sessions you want.

The music

The lineup leans local first, with visiting acts on top. The names confirmed in the official announcement are the mainland independent band Omnipotent Youth Society, Malaysian dream-pop band babychair, veteran Portuguese electronic DJ Branko, Taiwan hip-hop collective That's My Shhh, and mainland rapper and poet J-Fever, who also hosts freestyle rap workshops during the weekend. Expect the rest of the bill to be Macau bands and musicians: showcasing local pop is the point of the event, and the full day-by-day running order has not been published yet.

Where music meets sport

The sessions that sum up this year's idea are the crossovers. Hong Kong fitness coach Utah Lee teams up with Hong Kong DJ team Cantomania for “DANCE Canto!!!” on the Hot Wave main stage, a mix of Cantonese pop, aerobic dance and high-intensity interval training. Dancers Lingo and BIG from Taiwan lead an Afro Dance Party. The Hong Kong functional fitness community DIN.LA.JOR runs a Workout Training Station, and its PFT Challenge tests endurance, strength and coordination. At the quieter end, Hong Kong singer-songwriter and certified sound healer Jocelyn Chan hosts a sound meditation session. If you only do one active session, make it one of these: they are the part of the programme you cannot get at a normal gig.

Registration, wristbands and age notes

Admission to the main event is free. Some featured activities need registration in advance, through the “Activity Applications” section of the Macao One Account, the official MGM website or MGM box offices, depending on the activity. MGM's event page adds the practical detail: registered participants collect an entry wristband at the venue entrance on the day, on-site places are limited, and registration closes once an activity fills up. Unclaimed places can be released to people waiting on site, so arrive on time for anything you have booked.

Age rules apply to some sessions, as listed by MGM. The Wellfest Stage Challenges and Games and Animal Flow have no age restriction. Inside Flow is for participants aged 14 and above. The Music Chill Chakra Awaken Dance and Chakra Release Flow, and the All-Round Fitness Challenge Zone, are for participants aged 18 and above. For all other activities, children under 12 should take part with a parent or guardian.

Getting there

Hac Sa is the far end of Coloane, so the free shuttles are the easy option. During the event, free shuttle buses run between the venue and Iao Hon Market Park, Fai Chi Kei, Taipa Central Park and MGM COTAI, in both directions. If you are coming from a port, you can take an MGM COTAI shuttle from ports across Macau (Qingmao Port excepted) to MGM COTAI's B1 shuttle lobby, then transfer to the event shuttle to Hac Sa. Regular buses work too: bus 26A serves Hac Sa Beach, about 20 to 23 minutes from the Cotai Strip, with fares typically MOP 6, as set out in our Coloane day trip guide. However you arrive, build in a buffer for the trip back: the whole site leaves along the same coast road.

What is not published yet

Two things, and they matter for planning. The daily opening hours and the full timetable, which act plays which zone at what time, had not been published in the Cultural Affairs Bureau announcement or on MGM's event page when we checked on 27 October 2026. The organisers say further information will be announced in due course, through the event page, the hushfullmusic Instagram account and the IC Art and HUSH FULL MUSIC Facebook pages. Treat any precise set times you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until they appear on those channels, and check again in the week of the event. This guide will be updated when the timetable lands.

The fortnight around it

The beach weekend is the centre of a longer run. Outreach activities run from 1 to 16 November across districts and schools, including promotional events, music workshops and international music industry exchange sessions. Then the city changes key: the 73rd Macau Grand Prix runs 19 to 22 November, and the Macau Food Festival opens on 20 November. A trip that starts with a free weekend on the sand and ends with race weekend covers the two sides of November in Macau. For beds, see the hotels guide, and the sports calendar tracks the Wellfest weekend alongside the rest of the season.
