The NBA in Macau: the tickets are gone.

Mavericks vs Rockets, two preseason games at the Venetian Arena on 9 and 11 October 2026. The primary sale sold out across every authorized channel. So this guide is about what to do now, what Fan Day is, and how game day works if you're going.

What it is

The NBA China Games 2026 presented by Taobao 88VIP bring the NBA back to Macau: two preseason games between the Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets, now established as a recurring fixture on the city's calendar. Announced names include Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg for Dallas, and Kevin Durant and Alperen Şengün for Houston. Though preseason rosters are always subject to change. K-pop group KiiiKiii performs at halftime of both games.

Tickets: the honest picture

Tickets went on sale on 12 August 2026 and sold out across all four authorized channels. As of 23 September 2026, every game tier, from E Reserve at MOP/HKD 588 up to VVIP Floor at 24,888, was gone, and the Sands Lifestyle hotel-and-ticket packages (Rookie 14,999 to Hall of Fame 271,999) were showing sold out too.

If you missed the sale, the only legitimate route left is watching the authorized channels for late releases or returns. Tickets do occasionally reappear. There are exactly four authorized channels, named in the official Sands China/NBA announcement:

That is the complete list. macauticket.com and Kong Seng are not authorized channels for this event, and no Klook product exists for it. Cotai Ticketing's own warning is blunt: "To ensure a successful admission, please purchase the show tickets from authorized channels only." Tickets bought anywhere else risk being invalid. And we won't point you at resale platforms, where fraud risk is high.

NBA Fan Day: Saturday 10 October

Between the two games, the Venetian Arena hosts NBA Fan Day on Saturday 10 October at 3:30pm: a separate ticketed event with on-court entertainment, including Keung To (MIRROR) and EVAN (HEESEUNG), hosted by MC Jin. It needs its own ticket; a game ticket does not cover it. Check Fan Day tickets.

Game-day practicals

  • Collecting tickets. Tickets bought on Cotai Ticketing are collected at the box office from 21 September 2026 through event day. Don't leave it until tip-off.
  • Purchase limits. Maximum 8 tickets per transaction per person; duplicate transactions under the same name, address or card may be cancelled.
  • Kids. Children under 3 get in free without a seat, nursed by an adult. Everyone else needs a ticket.
  • Venue rules. No cameras or recording equipment without NBA China approval. Latecomers may be held until halftime. Wear a mask if you have flu-like symptoms. Tickets are non-transferable for resale and invalid if damaged, counterfeited, or bought outside official channels.

Can I bring young children?
